„ … to take a step is the right action in order to see“
The ongoing project “WALKING THROUGH … X” started in summer 2010 in Bratislava and was continued in Belgrade in summer 2011. Within a ten days working period in each town the participants joined together with the basic idea of researching and exploring something on-site. Using applied methods of walking, the participants questioned the city itself, their own origin, expectations and their usual perspective. During the lab-situation the artists‘ work and approach was under consideration. The lab offered room for different positions. Analysing questions about their work and urban space were:
How are relations in flux between private and public space, between individual and social spheres being displayed?
How do social and ecological processes change the urban image and living space of the city?
In which sense does urban space as a symbolic system determine behaviour of Individuals and groups?
